Does restraining from ejaculation build up the sperm and improve sperm quality?

No. In fact some research indicates that sperm quality is improved with frequent ejaculation. Also, daily ejaculation may reduce the amount of DNA damage that sperm would otherwise suffer if stored for too long in the male’s body before a conception attempt. While the volume of ejaculate may reduce a little, the sperm contained in it seem to benefit with improved DNA, and even improvements to motility, so frequent ejaculation is recommended for a healthier conception.
